The first trailer for ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi‘, the new Disney+ series, is here. The story, set on Tatooine, takes place ten years after ‘Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith‘. The Jedi, played by Ewan McGregor, takes refuge on the hot planet to hide from the empire.

The first images of the series, which will debut on May 25, show us Luke Skywalker as a child waiting to be trained by Obi-Wan, but they leave us without the opportunity to see Hayden Christensen reprising his role as Anakin Skywalker. / Darth Vader.

Let us remember that in the dramatic events that took place during ‘Revenge of the Sith’, Obi-Wan suffered a great blow: his best friend and apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, was manipulated by Palpatine and finally ended up going over to the dark side and becoming Darth Vader.

The trailer also introduces us to Reva, the great villain of the story played by Moses Ingram (‘Lady’s Gambit’). She takes on the role of an Inquisitor searching for Jedi for the empire and shares evil interests with Darth Vader and is Obi-Wan’s natural enemy.

Six episodes and an outstanding cast

The first season of the series has six episodes. Joby Harold (‘King Arthur: Legend of the Sword’, ‘Transformers: Rise of the Beasts’) is the screenwriter, while Deborah Chow (‘The Mandalorian’) occupies the role of director.

The main cast is completed with Joel Edgerton and Bonnie Piesse, reprising their roles as Owen and Beru Lars from ‘Revenge of the Sith’. Nanjiani, Sung Kang, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie.

There is no doubt that the exceptions in the series are high. Disney + has figures that many fans of the saga love and an opportunity to stand out so as not to repeat the history of what happened with ‘Han Solo: A Star Wars Story‘. The countdown to the premiere is on.
