WhatsApp users finally we can react to messages with any emoji. Mark Zuckeberg announced this feature last May, but since then, as explained above, we could only use only six (👍❤️😂😲😥🙏) of the more than 3,000 available emojis.

Possibly many users wondered why the reactions were limited to only six of them and it was not possible to choose others beyond the preset ones. The truth is that there is no longer anything to worry about because this limitation is coming to an end.

We are rolling out the ability to use any emoji as a reaction on WhatsApp. some of my favorites: 🤖🍟🏄‍♂️😎💯👊” wrote this Monday on his Facebook page, Mark Zuckeberg.

How to react to messages with any emoji

The method to react to messages with any emoji is very easy and identical to the one that beta users have been using in recent weeks. We simply have to enter any WhatsApp chat and make a long press on the message that we want to react to.

As we can see in the screenshots, to the right of the six emojis an icon with the “+” symbol will appear that will allow us to choose the emoji that we like the most. While on Android the emojis section of the keyboard will open, on iOS we will have a navigable section.

Now that you know that the feature will be available to all users, you may be wondering when you will be able to use it. According to Mark Zuckeberg’s message, the deployment has already begun, which means that it will reach all Android and iOS users in the coming days or weeks.

In our case, some Xataka editors already have it available, while others still don’t see it. For now, it only remains to wait and, beyond this function, keep the app up to date from the app store Y Play Store to receive the latest news.

Let us remember that the Meta messaging application has been receiving a good handful of new features, among them, the possibility of pixelating images to protect the content of our photos, sending larger files, groups with up to 512 people and more. Telegram, for its part, has launched a Premium subscription with several advantages.
