At the end of April, a rumor began to circulate that Netflix was working on a large number of mobile games to strengthen its presence in that sector. This Friday he confirmed it at his event “Geked Week 2022”.

The streaming giant, which has bought several video game studios in recent years, including Next Games and Night School Studio, plans to grow its mobile video game catalog from 22 to 50 before the end of this year.

Multi-series games on the way

Although Netflix has not announced all the titles that will arrive in the coming months, it has revealed which will be the first. In that sense, we see that the bet includes some of the most successful series on the platform.

‘Queen’s Gambit’: This title promises to immerse us in the world of Beth Harmon and, how could it be otherwise, revolves around chess. It will allow us to take lessons and play paridas. It has been developed by Ripstone.

‘Shadow and Bone’: The video game based on the drama series will provide a role-playing experience for a single player. Users will be able to play their favorite characters and travel through the world of the Grishaverse in a narrative adventure. It has been developed by Chimera Entertainment.

‘Playing with fire’: The popular series of the group of singles lives together on a tropical beach and is prohibited from any type of sexual contact will also have its game. The title has been developed by Nanobit.

Netflix Games 2022 3

The streaming giant also announced other titles that will arrive between this and next year: ‘Poinpy’, ‘Lucky Luna’, ‘Desta: The Memories Between’, ‘Terra Nil’, ‘Reigns: Three Kingdom’, ‘Wild Things : Animal Adventures’, ‘Raji: An Ancient Epic’ and ‘Spiritfarer’.

Netflix made its foray into the world of video games official in July of last year. Since then, it has gradually added new titles to its catalogue, which is available at no additional cost to service subscribers.

The catalog can be consulted from the “Games” tab within the official Netflix application. Once the title of interest is chosen, by pressing “Download game”, the app redirects to the mobile application store to download and install it.
