On August 21 was released ‘The House of the Dragon‘ on HBO Max. The production, which is a prequel to “Game of Thrones”, soon became the most successful at the audience level in the history of the streaming platform. Warner Bros. Discovery are doing well and want to build on this success.

Now, to celebrate the fans and more than 20 million viewers who have seen the first episode, HBO Max has confirmed that the series will have a second season and, although it has not revealed when it will arrive, it could do so when HBO Max and Discovery + have already merged into a single streaming platform.

A success also in Spain

HBO Max has indicated this Friday in a press release that the premiere of ‘The House of the Dragon’, which solved one of the most annoying problems of ‘Game of Thrones’, not only captured the attention of Americans. In Spain it also reached the highest number of viewers of a new series on the platform.

As we mentioned above, there are no more details about the second season of the series. However, we still have a whole season to live. The second episode of a total of 10 will premiere on August 29 and, as the story evolves, we will see if the public continues to react with the same firmness.

Recall that ‘The House of the Dragon’, based on the book ‘Blood and Fire’ by George RR Martin, is set 200 years before the events of ‘Game of Thrones’ and tells the story of the Targaryen House, which is ruled peacefully by Viserys Targaryen, who will see many problems appear before his eyes.

It is impossible to resist the physics that this science fiction series offers us. It will take a long time to be overcome

‘The House of the Dragon’ is a co-creation of George RR Martin and Ryan Condalit is also showrunner, in the company of Miguel Sapochnik. As for the cast, there are notable names like Paddy Considine (Viserys Targaryen), Emma D’Arcy (Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen) and Matt Smith (Prince Daemon Targaryen).
